Legacy search is officially completely discontinued and does not work on Joomla 5. Rewrite the search bot into a smart search plugin.

Smart search uses indexing instead of live data queries. This can pose security risks if the results display private data or future private data. To avoid leaks try to limit what can be displayed. There won't be any way to restrict the searching aspect though so by default only search name, username, and email.
