Now that I am putting together the FBC documentation I see some last minute wording changes (sorry).

Changes marked in brackets. Basically instead of mysite.com as example, lets use mycbsite.com (since CB is a prerequisite) and in fact no periods are allowed in Canvas URL so proposing example to be valid as cbfbc_mycbsite (without the .com) and added a step 4.3 Click the Save button.

1. Click Set Up New Application
   2. In 'Essential Information' area complete Application Name (e.g., Community Builder FBC for http://www.my[cb]site.com) and Agree to Facebook terms and then click on 'Create Application' button.
   3. Click on the Canvas link on the left column (under Basic, Authentication, Profiles links).
   4. Complete the following
         1. Canvas Callback URL (e.g. http://www.my[cb]site.com/)
         2. Canvas Page URL (up to 20 chars -no digits allowed: e.g., cbfbc_my[cb]site[delete the .com])
         3. Click the Save button 
   5. Click Connect
   6. Complete the following
         1. Connect URL (e.g. http://www.my[cb]site.com/)
   7. Click Save
   8. Copy API Key and Application Secret to their respective locations below:
