required select should have blank, but not allow saving with blank
Description
Blank is removed which selects the first value of the drop-down, users are making it hard to notice the field is required due to this. Should show blank and be selected by default, but error if attempted to save. If the user already has a value the blank should never show.

This has already been fixed for CB 1.2.3.
I believe this is a duplicate of another issue.
