Description
It would be useful to have a easy to use API for parsing URLs. In short it should be similar to Joomla making it easier to generate paths to images, for headers, etc.. relative pathing should be used whenever possible and absolute pathing should be for external resources. This would help resolve a lot of HTTPS/HTTP cross-content problems that are constantly reported.
