Description

When using [password] substitution it will not substitute the password in the pending or welcome emails properly. It only appears to function in [DETAILS]. This makes it difficult to have custom formatted [DETAILS] usages and also causes issue with sending generated passwords without using [DETAILS].

Works fine in Pending for user supplied passwords. For generated passwords it should be in the Welcome email where it also works fine.
