Description

The MX Record Lookup is either missing a timeout or it's set for too long. It seams to attempt the lookup for an infinite amount of time if the domain can't be reached.

Looks like default timeout is 300 (5 minutes). That's too long for the MX Record Lookup. Should just be 30 seconds at most.

A lookup should never take more than 10 seconds.
