Implement awesomefont glyphicons font (full pro package, not limited to halflings) to all default templates. Then update backend icon usage to use the glypicons. Be sure to alter the CSS name to avoid conflicting with bootstrap template and load in using @outputCbTemplate( 0, 'fontawesome.css' );@ so Joomla glypicon usage is on demand instead of always loaded. (you end up with odd double icons, it's weird).
