As reported privately by Janis:

we are finding that when a member cancels their account, CB Subs cancels an account immediately, as opposed to holding the cancellation until the actual subscription termination date.

This should apply to all subscriptions regardless of the gateway. When a subscription is cancelled it should cancel the recurring aspect first. Second cancellation should cancel out the subscription it self. This is common practice on 99% sites using recurring.
