Field and plugins params storing as INI string instead of JSON

Description
Seams a regression happened at some point causing params to store as old INI string, which is also resulting in linebreaks converting to \r\n.
- Priority changed from Normal to High
- Status changed from Assigned to Resolved
- % Done changed from 0 to 100
No longer an issue with new backend XML usage as it stores correctly as JSON.
- Priority changed from High to Normal
- Status changed from Resolved to Closed
