Field names are currently limited to 50 characters. Increase this to 255 or at the least 100-150 to allow for longer more specific field names.

Imho, that's a limit of the MySQL column names.

We should add a maximum length to the xml for the field name instead of allowing more.

The limit appears to be 64 for column names, but it's probably not a good idea to even touch the limit. Believe we should stay at 50. Rejecting ticket.
