It looks from Forum feedback like a lot of hostings are still on MySQL 5.7, and we're unsure yet if CB will need MySQL 8 in the future.
MySQL 8 is a prerequisite for Joomla 5.0, and it's up to Joomla to pre-warn in Joomla 4.4, not our task imho.
